Deep navy and royal blue satin, faded cream linen, candlelight dripping everywhere. Giant Sicilian heads overflowing with wild roses, bougainvillea, jasmine and vines that crawl and spill across the table. Figs, black grapes, blood oranges and broken pomegranates tucked between old silver and burning candles. Nothing too perfect. Nothing too arranged. Old, dramatic, decadent and a little dangerous. A long dinner. Too much wine. Completely lost in Sicily. Old silver, aged brass, heavy linen napkins. Tons of candles.
