One Night of Kiki

A blush silk tablecloth, almost liquid in the candlelight, with a black lace runner stretching down the center. Black taper candles burning from old bronze candelabras. Glass cut votives with black tea candles at different heights amongst the flowers. The flowers are decadent and slightly undone: dusty roses, mauve dahlias, dark calla lilies, chocolate cosmos. Flowers falling into the candles, lace disappearing beneath the glasses, the whole table getting more beautiful as the night gets later. It feels intimate. A little French. A little dangerous.
